Generally, books on African American History will be found in 973.04, although you may find books in the rest of the 970's (American History) as well as the 960's (African History).

Most academic libraries in OhioLINK use a different classification system that is based on a combination of letters & numbers. Books specifically dealing with African American History will usually be found in E185s, but may also be contained in the rest of American History (the E's and F's) as well as African History (the DT's).
